Here are the top stories today in Indianapolis:
- An Indianapolis firefighter is suffering minor injuries after battling a fire at a vacant building on Tuesday morning. Crews arrived to a boarded building in the 3000 block of West Washington Street, near North Tibbs Avenue, at around 1:30 a.m. to find the building engulfed in flames. The fire was brought under control in roughly 45 minutes and is now under investigation. (WTHR)
- Some Irvington businesses are saying thank you to the neighborhood for their support through a Holiday Open House on Dec. 3. The open house has been a twenty-year tradition to boost sales in Irvington, however last year the event was halted in many aspects by the pandemic. This year, the event is back in full swing with 17 small businesses, a market of more than 40 vendors, live music, plus Santa and friends at certain locations. (Fox 59)
- A broken water main forced a road closure on Grandview Drive just north of Michigan Road on Indyβs northwest side. (WIBC - Indianapolis News & Politics)
- Kenny Wilkerson, from the band Nova Rex, has created βRockinβ Recipes for Autism,β a new collection of recipes heβs put together from musicians like Whitesnake, Dokken, and Poison. (Fox 59)
