  1. Purdue professor Luna Lu invented concrete sensors that will aid in decreasing construction times and concrete repairs needed, as well as making the roads more sustainable. Purdue University researchers, along with the Indiana Department of Transportation and WaveLogix, installed the sensors on Tuesday where the I-465 interchange to I-69 south will be. The sensors will provide engineers with real-time data about how strong the concrete is and when it will need to be repaired. (Purdue University)
  2. The Wall Street Journal/Realtor.com report once again named Lafayette as the best metro area for both affordability and quality of living. Pricing in Tippecanoe County averages about $292,000; whereas the national median is $410,200. Lafayette, at the top of the list, was followed by Fort Wayne and Elkhart on the Emerging Housing Markets Index. (LinkedIn)
  3. Two primary care providers who specialize in both general and preventive medicine for patients joined Northwest Health this Wednesday. Brittany Lynn, FNP, will see patients at Northwest Medical Group – Primary Care in La Porte and Kayla Turner, FNP-BC, will see patients at Northwest Medical Group – Primary Care in Michigan City. Both Lynn and Turner can provide care for acute and chronic illnesses, such as arthritis, diabetes, and high blood pressure. (laportecounty.life)
