  1. Purdue's Boilermaker Alliance collaborated with Aramark to provide backpacks filled with school supplies to Lafayette students for the upcoming school year. The distribution took place at the Lyn Treece Boys & Girls Club of Lafayette, where children expressed gratitude and excitement for the supplies. The volunteers not only distributed backpacks but also engaged in activities like playing dodgeball with the kids and plan to continue their involvement and support throughout the year. (WLFI)
  2. A four-year-old child named Ke’andre Jolly from Lafayette has died at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, with the autopsy confirming his death as a homicide. The incident is under investigation, and the Tippecanoe County Coroner is assisting in the case. The child was initially taken to a hospital in Lafayette before being transferred to Riley Hospital for a higher level of care, where he later passed away. (WRTV)
  3. Purdue University's experiment on the International Space Station aims to gather data on how boiling and condensation function in reduced gravity, critical for designing effective heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for lunar or Martian habitats. This experiment, part of the Flow Boiling and Condensation Experiment (FBCE), focuses on understanding heat transfer processes in space. The data could not only enhance space exploration but also impact spacecraft propulsion systems and in-orbit refueling, making boiling and condensation a viable approach for heat transfer in space.
