  1. Starting on Sep. 1, a road project will begin in Tippecanoe County to construct a new roundabout. Concord Road, from Marcasite Boulevard to Promenade Parkway, will be closed for approximately three months to facilitate the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Concord Road and Eppingham Drive. This roundabout will connect the extended Eppingham Drive to a future development on the opposite side of Concord Road. (wlfi.com)
  2. A woman was airlifted to a nearby hospital following a head-on collision with another vehicle on State Road 26 E at the intersection of County Road 775 East in Tippecanoe County. The incident occurred when the driver of a Honda Pilot was traveling westbound on Indiana 26 and a Dodge pickup truck attempted a northbound turn onto County Road 755 East, resulting in a head-on crash. The crash is currently under investigation. (CBS4 News)
  3. A 37-year-old man from Lafayette, Angel J. Zanex, has been sentenced to 84 months in prison by United States District Court Judge Philip P. Simon for the distribution of child pornography. Zanex also received five years of supervised release and was ordered to pay $71,000 in restitution to victims of the charged and uncharged offenses. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) investigated the case as part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative aimed at protecting children from exploitation and abuse. (Herald Journal)

  • After reaching record highs in 2022, nationwide rates of catalytic converter thefts appear to be on the decline for the first half of 2023. In Indiana, catalytic converter thefts have decreased by 41.62 percent from 2022, though rates are still up over 1,964 percent from 2019. (BeenVerified)
  • The Aviators proudly declare a new attendance milestone at Loeb Stadium, with over 46,000 attendees this season, surpassing last year's record. General Manager David Krakower expresses gratitude to the community for its backing. Additionally, the Aviators have contributed over $35,000 to local nonprofit organizations this year. (wlfi.com)
  • The Farm at Prophetstown offers a unique dining experience with Farm-to-Table Dinners inside the historic Gibson Farmhouse Museum in Tippecanoe County. The meals are prepared by local chefs, served on 1920s china, and accompanied by farm-grown flowers.
