Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?
After retirement, 30 yrs ago, he founded Tree Lafayette. This volunteer organization has planted 5,000 street trees in Lafayette and for the past 10 years, presents an educational program to every 3rd grader in the Lafayette School Corp and plants a tree with them in their schoolyard. Each school receives 1 or 2 free trees per year!
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?
He is dedicated to making all the neighborhoods and schools here aware of the benefits of trees.
