• Ankeny man charged with murder after woman found with stab wound (desmoinesregister.com subscription) — An Ankeny resident has been charged with first-degree murder after police found a woman dead with an apparent stab wound during a welfare check at an apartment on Northeast Crestmoor Place. The suspect was already in the Polk County Jail following an alleged assault on an Ankeny officer the previous evening. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them by phone.
