Back to School: Shopping Lists and Key Dates for Iowa City School District

It's August and that means it's that time of the year again: Back to School preparation time for members of the Iowa City School District.

Back to School Shopping

And it just so happens that it's Iowa Tax Free Weekend to encourage some back to school shopping.

The Corridor Parents website has done an excellent job of compiling this collection of back to school supplies shopping lists for nearly all of the elementary and middle schools in the Iowa City School District.

Iowa City Schools Upcoming Important Dates

Elementary registration (for all schools)  for new families or for parents or guardians who want assistance on site with electronic registration (eRegistration) is 8am-6pm on Friday, August 9th.

Secondary Registration varies by school. I have attached a downloadable PDF to this story with the important dates for secondary school registration.

From the District: ICCSD eRegistration Now Open

The Iowa City Community School District has opened eRegistration for the 2013/14 school year. Parents and guardians are asked to register their students through Power School.

Assistance with this process will be available at elementary registration day on Friday, August 9th. Elementary students who complete eRegistration before August 9th do not need to attend the registration at their school.

Secondary students must attend their designated registration day, but completing eRegistration beforehand will make the process shorter. Elementary students can pay their fees online through the "online payments" quick link on the district website.

Secondary students must attend their designated registration day and pay fees at the school. The District is now accepting credit card payments at all schools for school fees or meals. Please contact the Educational Services Center at 688-1000 with questions.

Here is the District's Facebook page with more info on registration.
