City Of Iowa City: Federal Law Requiring Face Masks On Public Transit Buses Extended To April 18

Face masks must be worn at transit stops, including the transit interchange, boarding the bus, riding, and while disembarking.

The Transportation Security Administration announced the extension of its face mask requirement while traveling on any public transit vehicles, including Iowa City Transit, to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. The extension lasts until April 18, 2022.

Face masks must be worn at transit stops, including the transit interchange, boarding the bus, riding, and while disembarking.

We want to thank Iowa City Transit passengers who have masked up to help keep themselves and the community safe during the pandemic. Masks must cover the nose and mouth. Passengers not properly wearing masks in compliance with Federal law may lose the privilege to ride Iowa City Transit.
