Iowa City Police Launching Another Round of 'Party Patrols'
The patrols will take place on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

Media Release
Once again this fall, the Iowa City Police Department will take a proactive approach in dealing with disruptive house parties and disorderly behaviors in neighborhoods by sending out party patrols on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.Â
In addition to repsonding to complaints of loud parties, the officers assigned to party patrols will work proactively to address house parties and disorderly behaviors, looking for signs that a party or gathering may be getting out of control. The intention of the party patrols is to prevent the kind of problems that can occur when parties get too big and people drink too much.Â
The community is encouraged to call police at 319-356-6800 when they see disruptive behavior or parties in their neighborhood.
