Iowa City Police Seek Second Suspect in Robbery, Assault After Making Arrest
A warrant for Robbery, 2nd Degree, has been issued for the second suspect, Parrish Dion Bennett, 25, 5'11" 190lbs, who is still at large.

On August 22nd at approximately 8:20 am, Iowa City Police responded to 2401 Highway 6 E for a medical call. Upon arrival officers learned that the victim had been badly beaten and robbed by two suspects. Those suspects were subsequently identified and one, Corlandis D. Chester, 26, of Iowa City, was taken into custody and transported to the Johnson County Jail on August 30th. He has been charged with Robbery, 2nd Degree and remains in custody with a $25,000.00 bond.
A warrant for Robbery, 2nd Degree, has been issued for the second suspect, Parrish Dion Bennett, 25, 5'11" 190lbs, who is still at large. Anyone with information on Bennett's location is urged to notify police. Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1000 for information leading the arrest of this suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 358-TIPS (8477). All calls are held in strict confidence and anonymity is guaranteed. Individuals providing information do not have to reveal their identity to collect a reward.
As with any criminal case, a charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
