Severe Weather Threat Continues for Iowa, Midwest

Areas of Iowa remain under flash flood watches and warnings through early Tuesday morning

A flash flood warning remains in effect for regions of central and eastern Iowa through early Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flash flood warning for the Iowa counties of Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, and Linn through 9:15 p.m. CDT Tuesday. These areas include the cities of Iowa City and Cedar Rapids.

A flash flood watch for the Cedar Rapids area through 1 a.m. as the NWS expects more heavy rain to move into the area through Monday night.
