Walkthrough Achieved: Sycamore Mall Now Connected Both Sides of the Mall through Former Von Maur Space

The Sycamore Mall still has a long way to go before it can become a vibrant shopping center, including replacing the departed Von Maur department store with one tenant or a combination of several tenants.

However, they have made one improvement recently: you now no longer have to walk outside and around the Von Maur space when you're on one side of the mall and desire to get to the other. This change also makes the mall's main corridor much more usable for walkers, who often used the old space for their regular constitutionals.

The space that used to house Von Maur is now walled off on one side, with the other space containing chairs available for customers.

In other mall news, a sign on the door indicated that the longtime Dairy Queen location in the mall is closed. Nearby a sign indicated that a new frozen yogurt business should be coming soon to the vacant space.
