• City of Ashland suspends parking time limit for the holidays (wowktv.com) — Downtown Ashland drivers will get a break this season, as the city is suspending its 2‑hour parking limit from Dec. 22 through Jan. 9, 2026. City leaders say the change should make holiday shopping and dining easier, and they’re also considering longer-term tweaks to parking rules with the Ashland Police Department. 
• Obituary: Jack Edward Hunnicut (mountvernonnews.com) — Ashland natives may remember 87-year-old Jack Edward Hunnicut, who was born and raised in the city before moving to Mount Vernon, Ohio in the 1950s. A devoted family man, sports lover, and former business owner, he passed away Dec. 9 in Ohio and will be honored in a private memorial service.
