- The National Weather Service commemorates the 25th anniversary of a severe weather outbreak that occurred in and around the Bowling Green area on Apr. 16, 1998. The outbreak caused significant damage in six counties across south-central Kentucky, totaling over $500 million in damages and resulting in three deaths. (Kentucky Today)
- The Capitol Arts Theater opened its doors on Tuesday to showcase Hezekiah Watkins, a Civil Rights activist who became the youngest Freedom Rider at 13 years old in the 1960s. Watkins shared his story and experiences on stage and was hosted by the Warren County Public Library. Despite disobeying his mother's orders to stay home, Watkins took the chance to see the Freedom Riders when they came to his town, which inspired him. (wnky.com)
- A man died at the scene of an officer-involved shooting on Plano Road in Warren County. The police have not released the man's identity. The Kentucky State Police Critical Incident Response Team is investigating the incident. (WBKO)
