Health & Wellness Expo 2026 returns to Bowling Green with free screenings, demos (wbko.com) — Bowling Green residents can get a wide range of free health screenings and wellness resources when the 2026 Health & Wellness Expo returns to the Sloan Convention Center on Saturday, Jan. 10. Med Center Health and WBKO will host more than 50 booths, on-site medical professionals, and family-friendly demonstrations, from CPR instruction to kids’ performances, all without preregistration or admission fees.

Craig and Deborah Browning donate to WKU Athletics, Gordon Ford College of Business and scholarship fund - WNKY News 40 Television (wnky.com) — Bowling Green residents may be interested to know that WKU alumni Craig and Deborah Browning have made a major three-part gift supporting WKU Athletics, the Gordon Ford College of Business, and scholarships for Edmonson County students. Their donation funds new scholarships, athletic program support, and facility upgrades at Chandler Hall, including the newly named Browning Family Reflection Pool that’s meant to inspire students to persist toward graduation.
3. Porch pirates target holiday shipping surge (wbko.com) — Bowling Green police are warning residents about a spike in porch package thefts during the busy holiday shipping season and urging people to protect deliveries. Officer Andrew Kilbourne explains that stealing mail is a Class D felony and stresses the value of video footage. He also shares practical tips like tracking packages, requiring signatures, and using trusted neighbors or workplaces for deliveries.
4. Marijuana, hashish found during traffic stop (sidneydailynews.com) — A Bowling Green man was pulled over in Shelby County on I-75 for allegedly following another vehicle too closely, leading deputies to discover marijuana products and hashish in his car. The driver, reported to be returning from Michigan, now faces several charges including driving under suspension and multiple drug-related offenses.
