- A hit-and-run driver crashed into a residence, damaging the fence and stairway railing in Bowling Green on Apr. 4. Police have yet to apprehend the suspect, a white male with a goatee, wearing a red Western Kentucky University shirt who was seen in a white Chevy pickup on surveillance footage from a nearby business. South Central Kentucky Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the suspect's arrest. (WBKO News)
- Western Kentucky University basketball head coach Steve Lutz has signed Brandon Newman, a highly skilled guard who played three seasons for Purdue. Newman helped Purdue win the Big Ten tournament title in the 2022-2023 season. (WNKY News 40)
- AMVETS Post 130 is hosting a Steak Cook-Off fundraiser this Saturday for a good cause. Chefs will get to cook 21-day aged prime rib ribeye steaks and can also enter dessert, bacon burger, or cocktail categories. Entry fees go toward supporting local veterans, and winners can receive cash prizes of up to $1,000. (WNKY News 40)

- Interested in shopping locally? The SoKY farmer's market returns this weekend on Apr. 29. Bowling Green hosts this market year-round and offers a wide variety of local vendors. (SoKY Marketplace)
- Life was different during the 1960s at Western Kentucky University where students had two unique housing options. An underground bomb shelter called Bogle Hall, had 14 underground rooms available for rent or students could live at Western Towers which opened in 1968, offering luxurious living options, such as penthouse study halls, swimming pools, and on-site cafeterias, with a capacity of over 400 students in each tower. - Greenwood Mall in Bowling Green plans to host a free family fun event on Saturday, Apr. 29 at center court. This event will have live music, dance performances, games, and more! (Visit Bowling Green)
