Officials highlighted Paducah Tilghman’s jump into the proficiency category and narrowing achievement gaps, crediting focused work by teachers, administrators, and students across the district.
   

• McCracken County Fiscal Court talks sheriff's department pay, data center project (wpsdlocal6.com) — McCracken County leaders have delayed a proposed salary ordinance after Sheriff Ryan Norman warned it could actually cut pay for some deputies, despite ongoing concerns about lagging law-enforcement wages. At the same meeting, Greater Paducah Economic Development detailed a $10.7 million marine-industry expansion bringing 50 jobs to Paducah and outlined the city’s high-stakes bid to land a Department of Energy AI data center project.
