• Purchase Area lawmakers discuss priorities for 2026 session (wkms.org) — Paducah leaders are pressing state lawmakers to back major local projects, from reindustrializing the former Gaseous Diffusion Plant and landing an AI data center to building a new riverport and justice center. At a Paducah Chamber luncheon, legislators also discussed nuclear energy investments, tax-cut plans, and funding for local landmarks and a new homeless shelter that could reshape daily life here.
   

• Anna Lou Millay, 87 (marshallcountydaily.com) — Paducah is mourning the passing of 87-year-old resident Anna Lou Millay, a longtime member of Bethel Tabernacle Church and former Walmart clerk. Services are set for Friday, December 19 at Milner & Orr’s Lone Oak Chapel, with burial in Symsonia and memorial gifts suggested to Bethel Tabernacle Church on Bridge Street in Paducah.
