Suspect in Shreveport assault also charged with attempted murder (ktalnews.com) — A downtown Shreveport assault that left a victim badly beaten has been linked to a suspect now jailed in Acadia Parish on separate attempted murder charges. Authorities say community tips helped identify Luis Morales, who also faces battery charges in Caddo Parish, and they’re continuing to investigate the violent attack.

Shreveport man killed in two-vehicle crash in Reserve: LSP (wgno.com) — A 21-year-old man from Shreveport died after state police say his car ran a red light and struck an 18-wheeler on Airline Highway in Reserve. Troopers report he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and died at a local hospital, while the truck driver was uninjured and the crash remains under investigation.
