1. Shreveport Police still looking for answers in 3-year-old missing woman case (ksla.com) — Shreveport police are still searching for Savannah Hale, a young woman last heard from in May 2022 whose phone last pinged downtown and in the North Market area. Detectives believe someone locally knows something and are urging residents to share even small details with SPD or Crime Stoppers to help move the three-year-old case forward.
   

2. Caddo grand jury declines to indict man involved in downtown Shreveport fight death (ksla.com) — A Caddo Parish grand jury has declined to indict a man previously arrested after a January fight in downtown Shreveport that led to another man’s death. Prosecutors say surveillance video and extensive medical records left room for self-defense and other factors, so there wasn’t enough evidence to move forward. The case involved an early-morning altercation on Commerce Street and was Shreveport’s fifth homicide of the year.
   

3. Major changes coming to Jimmie Davis Hwy., I-49 (ksla.com) — If you drive in Shreveport, expect big changes on I-49 and Jimmie Davis Highway as state officials push ahead with the connector and new bridge projects. The I-49 connector timeline has slipped a few months but still targets 2026, while Jimmie Davis Bridge work, including new J-turn patterns, continues toward a 2027 completion.
   

4. Shreveport Green receives grant for cleanup from Keep Louisiana Beautiful (ktalnews.com) — A new $10,000 Healthy Communities Grant will fund Shreveport Green’s expanded litter prevention, education, and cleanup efforts across Shreveport. The group plans strategic cleanup events, community workshops, and a Leaders Against Litter program to train resident organizers and encourage long-term civic responsibility around waste and beautification.
   

5. Caddo grand jury indicts 4 in 3 homicides (ktbs.com) — Four men are now indicted in three separate Shreveport-area homicides, including the shooting death of a 16-year-old inside a North Market Street vape shop. Other indictments involve a fatal Dalzell Street shooting and an alleged domestic-violence killing where a baby was present, with all suspects currently held at Caddo Correctional Center.
