Local organizations and volunteers cleaned the grounds at Aberdeen High School.

They'll come armed with shovels, rakes and wheel barrows.
Their uniforms? Sneakers, t-shirts and jeans.
The flock of volunteers will descend upon 251 Paradise Road for the first Beautification Day.

Seven areas of the school grounds have been targeted for clean-up.
Among the groups involved in the event: Ripken Baseball, Under Armour, the , Aberdeen Police, and .

Through its new community arm, Ripken Outreach and Community Service (ROCS), Ripken Baseball will have 20 volunteers involved and they'll be supplying a number of items: landscaping equipment, mulch, low-maintenance shrubs/plants, new fencing and Aberdeen IronBirds hats for student volunteers.
Some of the areas the teams will be targeting: outdoor eating area, entrances, fencing, existing shrubs and more.
