Dog Walkers Raise Over $100,000 in Annapolis
Labrador and Golden Retrievers paraded down Annapolis streets over the weekend, raising a whopping $100,000.
A dog walk over the weekend in Annapolis managed to raise $100,802 to find homes for Retrievers.
The fifth-annual event, hosted by Lab Rescue LRCP, a volunteer group dedicated to rescuing and finding homes for homeless, abused or abandoned Labrador Retrievers and Golden Retriever-Labrador Retriever mixes.
More than 300 dogs paraded through Annapolis streets on Saturday, raising awareness and funding for the volunteer group. Money raised from the walk helps provide routine and emergency veterinary care, to the labs rescued by the organization, among other things.

The group's vice president, Wendy Finn, thanked everyone who participated in the walk on the Lab Rescue's Facebook page.
"Lab Rescue of the LRCP thanks everyone who strapped on their shoes, leashed up their dogs and joined in the fun. We also thank everyone who supported a walker. Every dollar raised will be used to welcome, vet and re-home labs in need. Your efforts saves lives. Please pat yourselves on the back for a job VERY well done," Finn wrote.
