#48. Fells Point - Baltimore

What the ranking said: "With cobblestone streets and views of the Inner Harbor, Fells Point feels like Baltimore at its most timeless. Old taverns sit beside new bistros, and nearly every eatery opens its doors to the breeze come spring. Thames Street Oyster House is the go-to for patio dining, where guests tuck into lobster rolls and Chesapeake oysters just steps from the waterfront. The sounds of boat horns and soft conversations create a rhythm that’s hard to leave behind."

#66. Bethesda Row

What the ranking said: "Just outside D.C., Bethesda Row gives off a polished, easygoing energy. Wide sidewalks, tree cover and a thoughtful mix of boutiques and restaurants make it a favorite for outdoor meals year-round. Jaleo by José Andrés offers tapas under umbrellas with views of the bustling street — perfect for people-watching over sangria and patatas bravas. It’s urbane without feeling rushed, and just lively enough to keep you sitting a little longer."

#132. Downtown Annapolis

What the ranking said: "Downtown Annapolis blends colonial charm with a salty, sailing spirit. Narrow streets slope down to the water, where sailboats bob and outdoor tables cluster around historic storefronts. Iron Rooster is a local favorite for comfort brunches on the patio, where waffles and crab hash arrive with strong coffee and a side of sunshine. It’s the kind of place where brunch runs long and no one seems to mind."
