4,000 Runners Prepare for Half-Marathon Through Annapolis

This weekend a horde of runners will make their way from Annapolis over the Severn River Bridge.

An estimated 4,000 runners are expected to be participating in the third-annual TCS Annapolis Half Marathon. 

The race kicks off at 7 a.m. Saturday from the Navy-Marine Corps Stadium before crossing the bridge to the Broadneck peninsula and heading back along the same route.

Anne Arundel County police said the Severn River Bridge will be impacted, with expected traffic delays during the event.

Proceeds for the race will go toward charitable organizations based out of Annapolis. For more information on the race, visit its website.
