UPDATE: Reservoir Tops Annapolis in Regional Basketball Final, 59-51

The Annapolis High boys basketball team faced Reservoir High for a chance to advance to the final four teams in the 3A state tournament.

UPDATE (6:45 p.m. Friday)—Hopes that the Annapolis High School boys basketball team would advance to the final four in the 3A Maryland state tournament went down in the third quarter as Reservoir High School took the lead Friday night.

Annapolis led at halftime, 22-21, but Reservoir came out on top.

Reservoir moves on to be one of four regional champions to play at the Comcast Center in College Park for the final two rounds of the tournament.

Prior to Friday night, Annapolis—a fourth seed in the state bracket—went 18-7 this season and took the Anne Arundel County title. Reservoir, a third seed, went 18-6 on the year.

In addition to the similar record, the two teams also amassed matching nine-game winning streaks.
