Annapolis Condo Fire: 18 Rescued, 10 Displaced, 1 Hospitalized
A fire originated on the second-floor balcony of an Annapolis high-rise Tuesday night, and firefighters rescued 18 people from the building.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Around 10 people were displaced and one has been hospitalized after a fire broke out late Tuesday at a six-story condominium structure in the 100 block of Severn Avenue.
Firefighters were dispatched at around 11:59 p.m. to the high-rise after receiving multiple reports of a structure fire with entrapment, and they found "heavy fire" on the second-floor balcony, Annapolis Fire Department officials said in a news release.
Most of the fire was contained to that balcony, where the fire originated, officials said. Some had spread to the adjacent condos.
