Annapolis Firm Awarded Navy Contract

TeleCommunication Systems will develop a tutoring system for the Navy.

An Annapolis communications firm will develop a new information technology tutoring system for the U.S. Navy.

The Capital Gazette reports TeleCommunication Systems Inc. was awarded the $6.9 million contract for the Navy's School at the Center for Information Dominance in Pensacola, FL.

Most of the work for the contract will be performed in California, with 30 percent of the work for the contract in Pensacola and 5 percent in Annapolis.

The firm has several other government contracts with other military branches, the Department of Homeland Security, Maryland government and Baltimore City.
