Annapolis Shooting Update: Police Identify 2 Victims, Suspect Who Took Own Life
Police identified the two shooting victims and the suspect who took his own life this weekend in Annapolis.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — County police on Monday released the names of the two victims and the suspect who died this weekend in an Annapolis shooting.
Officers identified the victims as 38-year-old George Michael Petrullo of Annapolis and 34-year-old Alexandra Abbott Huff of Riva.

Authorities said 42-year-old George Edward Huff of Riva shot the two victims before taking his own life.
There is no information on a motive at this time, police said.

Patch asked officers if the female victim and the suspect were related. We have not yet gotten a response. We will update this story if we hear back.
Police said the shooting happened just before 2 p.m. Friday in a parking lot in the 2100 block of Somerville Road.

The woman and the suspect were pronounced dead at the scene, police spokesperson Lt. Jacklyn Davis said. The male victim drove himself to a nearby shopping center, where he called for help.
Officers said the man was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
"Today we’ve senselessly lost three individuals to gun violence in our county," Police Chief Amal Awad said at a Friday news conference. "We’re better than this."
Police said the shooting was a targeted incident and there was no threat to the public.

County emergency management officials closed Somerville Road from Solomons Island Road to West Street as police investigated the shooting.
