Annapolis Stabbing Suspect Fatally Struck By Truck In Bowie: Police
A domestic stabbing suspect from Annapolis was fatally struck by a tractor-trailer in Bowie, police said.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An Annapolis stabbing suspect walked into traffic Monday and was fatally struck by a tractor-trailer in Bowie, the Maryland State Police said.
Troopers identified the late suspect and pedestrian as 42-year-old Maurice Logan Mitchell of Annapolis.
The Annapolis Police Department got a call for an assault in the 700 block of Newtowne Drive around 1:47 p.m. Monday. Officers said they found a woman with multiple stab wounds.

A press release said medics airlifted the victim to shock trauma, where she is in critical but stable condition.
The stabbing was a domestic incident, authorities said.

The Maryland State Police said it heard about the pedestrian crash Monday around 4:15 p.m.
Troopers from the College Park Barrack said they responded to eastbound U.S. Route 50 at Maryland Route 193 in Bowie. The tractor-trailer driver stayed at the scene.
An ambulance drove Mitchell to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center in Largo, police said.
Doctors pronounced Mitchell dead at the hospital, a press release said.
