Anne Arundel County Cheerleaders to Compete at State Level

Cheerleaders from four Anne Arundel County high schools will head to the State competition on Thursday.

At the regional competition, four out of the five top spots were taken by teams from Anne Arundel County:

• South River High School — 1st
• Arundel High School — 2nd
• Chesapeake High school — 3rd
• Northeast High School — 5th

Fourth place was taken by Kent Island High School.

The state competition will be held at North Point High School in Waldorf.
