Anne Arundel County Students Celebrate Law Day
More than 1,100 students participated in law-related activities.

On May 1, More than 1,100 kids participated in activities for Law Day, according to a news release from the Anne Arundel Bar Association.
Each year, the association plans events around Law Day's theme, which is selected by the American Bar Association, the release states. This year the theme was "No Courts, No Justice, No Freedom."

Annapolis attorney John Ryan was one of 18 members of the Anne Arundel Bar Association's to partake in the celebrations. He spoke to eighth grade students at in Edgewater about Supreme Court directions that have affected their lives such as school segregation.
"I enjoy interacting with the students and hearing their questions about the law and their opinions on lawyers and the judicial system," Ryan said in the release. "It is very energizing."
