Bank of Glen Burnie Robbed Twice in One Week

County police said it is unknown if the two incidents are related.

Police are investigating the second robbery at a branch of the Bank of Glen Burnie within a week.

On Tuesday at 10:29 a.m., Anne Arundel County police said a man robbed the Bank of Glen Burnie, located at 1221 Generals Highway in Crownsville.

The suspect handed a teller a note demanding cash, took an unspecified amount of currency and then fled on foot, according to a police report.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing dreadlocks pulled in a pony tail.

Anne Arundel County police spokesman T.J. Smith said the robbery is similar to another one that occurred Friday, but stopped short of saying the two were linked.

"We do not know if these cases are related, but there are two different suspects on two different days," Smith said.

On Friday, police said a woman robbed the Bank of Glen Burnie located at 101 Crain Highway in Glen Burnie. The female suspect handed a teller a note demanding money, and she left with an undetermined amount of currency.

On Tuesday, police released photos of the suspect.
