Bar Fight Hospitalizes Employee, Suspect Arrested In Anne Arundel: Police
A bar fight hospitalized a pub worker, Annapolis police said. The suspect is also accused of choking a customer and trying to disarm a cop.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A recent bar fight hospitalized an employee and prompted an arrest in downtown Annapolis, police said.
Authorities accused the suspect of assaulting a worker, choking a customer and trying to disarm an officer.
The Annapolis Police Department said it arrested William Edward O'Brien in the case.

Authorities said they were called to Castlebay Irish Pub, located at 193A Main St., Sunday around 11 p.m.
Officers said they found the victim laying on his back bleeding, but breathing.

Police alleged that O'Brien repeatedly punched the staff member, pushed him into a wood post and took him to the ground.
Medics took the victim to Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis with possibly broken ribs, authorities said.
Officers also accused the suspect of choking a female customer during the fight.
Police said they tried to address the suspect's medical issue, but "he got up and lunged forward attempting to disarm the officer."
Authorities said they charged O'Brien with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, attempting to disarm a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.
