Body Found In Annapolis Waterway Identified: Report

A body was found in an Annapolis waterway. Police identified the 20-year-old man who had been missing for months, a report said.

The Annapolis Police Department on Friday identified the man whose body was found in Spa Creek as 20-year-old Cameron Isaiah Phillips, the Capital Gazette reported. A press release said a body was found April 25 near the Truxtun Park boat ramp.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Police recently identified the man whose body was found in an Annapolis waterway two months ago.

Officers on Friday identified the deceased as 20-year-old Cameron Isaiah Phillips, the Capital Gazette reported.

Annapolis Police Department spokesperson Kortlan Jackson told the newspaper that Phillips' family reported him missing in January.

Patch contacted Jackson to ask about the cause and the manner of death, but he has not yet replied. We will update this article if he responds.

The Annapolis Harbormaster found the body in Spa Creek near the Truxtun Park boat ramp, a press release said.

Authorities said then-acting Harbormaster Tyler Northfield was docking his boat on April 25 around 5:30 p.m. when he saw the body under a pier, the Capital Gazette previously reported.
