Child Dies After Annapolis Car Crash: Police
An 11-year-old boy died after a car crash, Annapolis police said. Three others were hospitalized in the accident.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An 11-year-old boy died days after an Annapolis car crash that hospitalized three others, authorities said.
Police said the child died Wednesday with family by his side. Authorities didn't release the boy's name.
Officers said the child was a passenger in a 2006 Toyota Highlander SUV that turned in front of a 2016 Ford Expedition SUV.

Authorities said the crash happened May 31 at 7 p.m.
The blue Toyota was turning left from Forest Drive onto S. Cherry Grove Avenue, police said.

Officers said "the Toyota failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic and was struck by a vehicle traveling outbound on Forest Drive."
Authorities said the child suffered what were then life-threatening injuries and was airlifted by the Maryland State Police to Johns Hopkins Children's Center in Baltimore.
The Annapolis Police Department said the crash also hospitalized a 9-year-old Toyota passenger, the adult Toyota driver and the 17-year-old Ford driver. These victims are all expected to survive.
Officers are still investigating.
