Mayor, Superintendent to Speak at Kids at Hope Seminar
The teaching philosophy shows schools and other organizations how a single belief system can be implemented to support the success of all children.

A seminar that hopes to empower and inspire Anne Arundel County students will kick off in April, featuring some of the most influential personalities in the county.
The Kids at Hope Masters Seminar will include speakers such as Annapolis Mayor Josh Cohen, Anne Arundel County Schools Superintendent Kevin Maxwell and State Schools Superintendent Dr. Lillian Lowery. The seminar will be April 3-5 at Loews Hotel in Annapolis.
"Participants will explore practices important to the success of all children through the latest concepts of the Kids at Hope cultural framework," according to a news release.

Kids at Hope is a nonprofit organization combating the notion of youth at risk—a term that the organization believes marginalizes students.
The seminar is designed to expand the implementation of the Kids at Hope philosophy throughout the county. Currently, 10 schools in the county are designated as Kids at Hope schools, including:
