DNR Farmer's Market Kicks Off June 6 in Annapolis

New items at this year's market include local wines, meats and treats.

A farmer's market located just outside of downtown Annapolis will open on June 6 and run through Sept. 5.

The market is hosted by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, and features locally grown produce including tomatoes, corn, melons, berries and more. Vendors also will be selling homemade goods such as jerky, candy and pastries.

New this year are local wines from Great Frogs Winery, fresh fruit-and-herb ice pops from SOCO Artisans Pops, and meat from Enticement Farms, according to a press release.

The farmer's market will be located at 580 Taylor Avenue in Annapolis, in the parking lot of the Tawes State Office Building. The market will run every Thursday from 3-6 p.m.
