First Sundays Returns to Downtown

The art festival is held on the first Sunday of the month from May to October.

A popular Annapolis tradition is coming back for another season.

The First Sundays Arts Festival, which features about 100 local and regional artists, kicks off this weekend.

Live music, dance, street performers and food are staples of the festival, which, according to organizers, generally attracts thousands of locals and tourists.

The outdoor street festival, located at West and Calvert streets in the downtown area, will run from noon to 5 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month from May until October.

The nearest parking is at Gotts Court Garage and Whitmore Garage, but patrons can park for free at the State Parking Garage, which is about two blocks away from festival.

There is no cost to attend.

The first event of the season will feature Nashville musician and the Latif & Banat Middle Eastern Dance Troup.
