Former Annapolis Mayoral Candidate Faces Assault Charge: Report

A woman accused the man of repeatedly punching her in the face on Christmas Eve, The Capital Gazette reported.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Nevin Young, a former Annapolis mayoral candidate, is accused of repeatedly punching a woman in the face on Christmas Eve, The Capital Gazette reported.

The paper reported that a district court commissioner charged Young with second-degree assault after the woman filed an application for charges on Thursday. The alleged assault reportedly happened at Harry Browne's on State Circle.

An officer who responded to the scene did not file charges as she did not witness the incident, the Gazette reported.
