ANNAPOLIS, MD — An Annapolis man was charged with drug and weapons offenses Monday after a disturbance at the Red Roof Inn, 2520 Riva Road, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

Officers were called to the Annapolis hotel about 6:25 p.m., a police news release said. The officers who responded saw the suspect in possession of a handgun and spotted suspected controlled substances in the hotel room.

A 9mm Glock 26 handgun, nine rounds of 9mm ammunition, about 44 grams of suspected cocaine, about 853 grams of suspected marijuana, a digital scale, and a grinder, police said.

The suspect — Hiram Omar Colon Ramos, 39, Annapolis — who is prohibited from possessing firearms, was arrested and charged.
