Man Charged in Stabbing of Mother's Boyfriend
Police investigators said the incident started when a man attacked his mother.
Anne Arundel County police Wednesday charged a 23-year-old Annapolis man in the stabbing of another man during an argument over the first man's mother.
Matthew Goetzke of Annapolis was charged with first-degree assault and two counts of second-degree assault. The stabbing victim, Ronald McGraw, 46, of Edgewater, is also being charged with second-degree assault.
Police investigators said the the incident started when Goetzke attacked his mother at a home in the 1300 block of South Farley Court in Annapolis. McGraw, the mother's boyfriend, then retaliated, according to the report.
Goetzke told police that during the fight, he drew out a small knife and stabbed McGraw, who suffered non life-threatening injuries, according to a police report.
Both men were transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center and were later charged.
