More than 40 Firefighters Combat Main Street Building Blaze

A fire downtown was put out within 25 minutes, a department spokesman said.

A two-alarm fire erupted from a Main Street building Tuesday afternoon, bringing out more than two departments to help put out the blaze.

The fire at 155 Main St. began at around 1 p.m. according to Anne Arundel County Fire Department Spokesman Keith Swindle. An estimated 48 firefighters responded to the call. 

The fire was brought under control in 25 minutes and there are no reports of injuries, Swindle said.
