New Restaurant Coming To Recently Sold Annapolis Town Center
A new restaurant is coming to the recently sold Annapolis Town Center. A taco spot closed and is rebranding to a sister eatery.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A new restaurant is coming to the recently sold Annapolis Town Center.
The shopping center announced Thursday that Augie's Mussel House & Sports Bar will replace Urbano Mexican Fare, which closed earlier this month.
The two eateries are owned by the same parent company, Common Plate Hospitality. This suggests the conversion is more of a rebrand than a change instituted by the town center's new owners.

Eye On Annapolis reported on Oct. 3 that Urbano had a sign on its front door saying the restaurant was "closed for construction."
This will be Augie's second location and its first in Maryland. The business also has a mussel house and beer garden in Alexandria, Virginia.

Augie's will be located at 1915 Towne Centre Blvd., Suite 150, next to P.F. Chang's. There is not yet an estimated opening date.
"We are excited to welcome this new concept to Annapolis Town Center and look forward to sharing additional leasing updates soon," town center spokesperson Lisa Geiger of Federal Realty told Patch in a Friday email.

Urbano has two other locations, both in Virginia, in Alexandria and Fairfax. Urbano Annapolis opened in September 2024 after a two-year buildout.
Common Plate has not yet responded to Patch's request for comment. We will update this article if the restaurant group replies.
The Annapolis Town Center has seen plenty of change recently. Federal Realty bought the center for $187 million earlier this month. Less than a week later, Patch confirmed that women's boutique Stardust Deluxe and Baltimore Coffee and Tea will depart the center. Both plan to reopen nearby.
Italian restaurant Cavalli also shuttered after the sale, but the closure was not in response to the shopping center's new ownership. Apartments are under construction in the parking lot used by Cavalli customers, diminishing the eatery's traffic.
