Naval Academy Grads Open 3rd Boutique Hotel In Downtown Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A group of Naval Academy graduates have opened 1313 West – Luxury Boutique Hotel in downtown Annapolis. The hotel is branded as “Luxury Boutique Brought to the Chesapeake.”

Award-winning interior design firm Interior Concepts Incorporated planned the layout and furnished the property with the luxury traveler in mind. Once the site of a century-old farmhouse and a storied horse-racing tradition, the hotel incorporates its equestrian past through design features.

The hotel’s speakeasy-styled lounge, designed similarly to the Polo Bar in New York City in the hotel’s lower-level, offers guests the private club exclusivity of the guest-only lounge, a news release said.

Clinton Ramsden and Cody Monroe, who led the transformation of the hotel, both graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2011. Passionate about pairing the charm of historic Annapolis with luxury hotel accommodations, the partners also led the extensive renovation of the 134 Prince – Luxury Boutique Hotel in Annapolis.

Their group also owns the Flag House Inn in Annapolis.

“The opening of 1313 West – Luxury Boutique Hotel represents the next step along our journey of elevating hospitality in Annapolis,” said Ramsden, the property’s co-founder, in a news release. “At 1313 West, we invite guests to experience Annapolis at its finest, while also enjoying the spontaneous moments of enjoyment that will surely take place in the hotel’s speakeasy lounge.”

Ramsden and Monroe have plans to open two additional hospitality properties in Downtown Annapolis, with the eventual goal of establishing Annapolis as an extraordinary hospitality destination. They will next open 86 State Circle – Luxury Boutique Hotel, which is scheduled to welcome its first guests later in 2024.
