Naval Academy Graduates Among Top Salary-Earners in National Survey

How much does the average graduate from the Naval Academy make?

US Naval Academy graduates earn, on average, the highest starting salaries of any college graduates in the country, according to a recent survey.

PayScale.com unveiled its College Salary Report for 2013-2014 this month, and the Naval Academy ranked No. 2 overall, though it had the highest starting salary on the list, and the second-highest mid-career salary, according to the results.

The rankings are based on data collected during a nationwide employee survey. Only employees who hold a bachelor's degree were included in the survey. In the case of service academies, only civilian employees were included in the data.

The survey defined salary as the annual salary or hourly wage, bonuses, profit sharing, tips, commissions, overtime, and other forms of cash earnings.

So how much does the average graduate from the Naval Academy make? A starting salary of $77,100, with a mid-career  salary of $131,000.
