Navy Football, Boat Show, Ren Fair: What's Your Weekend Plan?

Whether you're up for the big game, in the market for a speedboat, or want to grab a turkey leg while wearing a silly hat, Annapolis has options this weekend.

Anne Arundel County police are warning travelers of the combination of big events happening around Annapolis this weekend. 

The Navy versus Air Force football match will continue as scheduled despite a scare of it being canceled due to the federal government shutdown on Tuesday. 

The game begins at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Navy-Marine Corps Stadium. Tickets are already sold out, but maybe you know a friend.

The 44th annual Annapolis Boat Show season kicked off Thursday at City Dock, bringing hundreds of boats and thousands of tourists to town. Saturday will be peak crowd time, so if you're in the market, you may face stiff competition from other prospective buyers, not to mention the competition getting a parking spot downtown. 

The Power Boat Show opens its doors at 10 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Hours and ticket information can be found online at the official event website.

Be greeted by other merry men and women with a warm "Huzzah!" at the annual Maryland Renaissance Festival in Crownsville. See the sights as costumers parade through the village in King Henry VIII's royal court  and thrill at the weekend jousting tournaments.
