Nike Unveils New Navy Uniforms for Army-Navy Game

When players step onto the field on Dec. 14, they'll each be wearing striking uniforms that carry a bit of their academy's history and culture

Building hype for the upcoming 114th Army-Navy football rivalry game, Nike has designed new uniforms for both teams.

When players step onto the field on Dec. 14, they'll each be wearing striking uniforms that carry a bit of their academy's history and culture.

In a press release, Nike. Inc. showed off the new designs. Beneath the padding, the Navy uniforms carry the famous last words of Captain James Lawrence, "Don't Give Up the Ship". The quote also flies on the Navy flag on display at the U.S. Naval Academy.

To honor the U.S. Marine Corps., the midshipmen's uniforms will also carry an eagle, globe and anchor patch. The design of the anchor can be seen on the mids' gloves, when their hands are clasped together.

The Army and Navy will clash on Dec. 14 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA.
