"A coastal low will bring light rain and drizzle, along with much cooler temperatures and gusty winds today," the National Weather Service said. "The low moves away from the area Tuesday into Wednesday, allowing for warmer temperatures and dry conditions to return for the middle of the week."
Ocean City received an inch of rainfall with winds gusts up to 50 mph on Sunday, WTOP reported. Less rain fell in the Baltimore-D.C. metro area, as wind gusts reached 37 mph.

Coastal flooding and beach erosion impacts are likely from the Carolinas to New Jersey through Monday night, AccuWeather said. High tides are running 1-3 feet above historical averages through Monday.

A large swath of winds of 40-60 mph, with an AccuWeather Local StormMax™ of 80 mph, is possible along the East coast from coastal Virginia to New England through Monday night.
“The worst of the impacts are expected from the I-95 corridor to the coast. Areas near the beach could see several inches of rain and wind gusts reaching 60 mph or stronger at times. People should be prepared for street flooding and power outages near the coast,” AccuWeather® Lead Hurricane Expert Alex DaSilva warned.
At noon Monday, about 350 utility customers were without power in Maryland, according to PowerOutage.US. Most of those outages are in Anne Arundel County.

The National Weather Service has a coastal flood warning and a high surf advisory, both in effect until 6 p.m. Monday for Ocean City. One to two feet of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways is ongoing in the oceanside community.
The high surf advisory says large breaking waves of 7 to 9 feet are expected in the surf zone.
The weather alerts are for coastal Worcester County, including Ocean City, plus Accomack and Northampton counties in Virginia.
"Widespread flooding of vulnerable areas will result in an elevated threat of property damage to homes and businesses near the waterfront and shoreline. Water will be up to 2 feet above ground level in some areas resulting in a sufficient depth to close numerous roads and threaten homes and businesses," the Weather Service said. "Flooding will extend inland from the waterfront along tidal rivers and bays resulting in some road closures and flooding of vehicles. Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion."
