The secretary of state delivered a lecture to the midshipmen.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appeared at the U.S. Naval Academy on Tuesday to deliver a lecture.

The Forrestal Lecture is intended to educate midshipmen on social, political and cultural matters nationally and globally, according to a news release from the U.S. Department of State. The lecture series was established in 1970 and named after James V. Forrestal, who was pivotal in the development of the modern Navy.

Clinton primarily spoke to the audience about U.S. strategy in the Asia-Pacific, the release states.
