PHOTOS: Love for Luca Raises More Than $20,000

Love for Luca raised more than $20,000 for cancer research at its third annual cocktail event in Crofton.

The nonprofit organization was created in honor of Luca Assante, a 4-year-old Annapolis boy, who has battled a rare form of cancer called rabdomysarcoma and is now in remission, according to a news release.

The money raised at the "Mission Possible"-themed event, which was held at the on March 24, will benefit the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Pediatric Cancer Center.
